Saturday TRAINING: "Soft Hands, Strong Back"
We often talk about "Angular "Shooting, and using your back.
By thinking about your Draw hand as being "soft" and not acting as anything more than a three finger hook for the string, which is drawn by the strong back muscle, and coupling that with a soft "lean and press" rather than grasp or grab, for the bow hand handle, the archer will have the elements to initiate the "draw /Load" portion in the steps.
This week we will work on training by starting the bow into a more advanced position with the arrow or stabilizer at about 7 "o'clock on the target face at "set" so we can open the bow and begin the angular rotation, pulling with the big back muscles, using "soft" hands.
