August 8 & 9: "Commit to Change"; Coiling?

Arrive early for time to gear up
Commit to Change.
We have been reviewing several techniques relating to hands on the string and positions of thumbs and holding on the grip-the places where the archer has contact with the bow. Each seemingly tiny change can produce changes in all of your routines and timing. We have also been talking about the need to understand that to gain skills, you must be willing to take a risk and change that which is comfortable. That's where wisdom shows up. It is earned knowledge.

"In order to Succeed, You must first be willing to fail"
(anonymous)

The best way to begin making a change, is to identify what you want to move toward, and then what it will take to get there.
We ask all archers to bring a little spiral or small notebook, and we will help you assess the top 3 areas you wish to change and improve.
We will also work on "coiling", the act of getting the draw arm "lan 2" around, moving  parallel to the shooting line, rather than a straight pull back
